Officer Toatley

This is the former Eastridge Park. The name was changed via Council resolution 2001-36 which read:

Now Therefore, be it resolved that the Mayor and Council, staff and citizens of the City of Takoma Park, do hereby posthumously recognize the immense contributions of Cpl. Edward M. Toatley, Maryland State Police, and Dr. Haynes Fraser, and recognize them by directing the City Park on Eastidge to henceforth be known as Toatley-Fraser Park, and request citizens and users of the facility honor their work and sacrifice by using the park in a violence- and drug-free manner.
